Equality center was founded by Amal Tamimi who was the first foreign woman to sit in the parliament in Iceland, the first immigrant elected to Hafnarfjörður town council, and the first immigrant to chair Iceland´s immigration council.

Raise awareness and help the most sensitive parts of society (which suffer discrimination due to race, belief, sexual orientation, etc.) the “silenced” parts of society (women, children, migrants, the disabled, etc.)
